Tech Field Day has a special place in the history of GTM Delta. If you go back far enough in the history of the event you’ll find our very own team there. It was fun to be both delegates and presenters over the years. This particular session below was before Cloud Field Day even existed!
Tech Field Day is hosting the upcoming Cloud Field Day 17 in Boston
These events are regularly held to feature exciting technology vendors who present to independent bloggers and content creators. GTM Delta will be on site for the upcoming Cloud Field Day 17 taking place live in Boston. The event will also be livestreamed from the Tech Field Day website and all recordings are posted within a day or two of the live presentations.
Cloud Field Day will include leading vendors specializing in orchestration, automation, and data protection so far. There are inevitably going to be some really great technical deep dives with feedback from the delegates.
We are excited to be able to be a part of the Tech Field Day delegate group which also includes David Klee, Eric Wright, Jason Benedicic, Joey D’Antoni, Karen Lopez, Larry Smith Jr., Lino Telera, Michael Levan, Ned Bellavance, W. Curtis Preston, and Wolfgang Stief.
Presentations here are meant to be deep dives into the technology. Delegates get to probe on the how and why each platform works. This is a rare opportunity to be able to see the depths of a technology and meet the people who built it for a long-form session with open Q&A. The goal of delegates is to ask important questions that are likely to be meaningful to technical users of these platforms and products.
GTM Delta and our approach comes from this very core idea. We love to ask questions about how something works at a deep technical level and then match that capability to why it is important. Vendor presenters are able to also ask great questions back to the delegates to learn how effective the way they present their tech and approach the problem is.
The Technology Community has Always Been in our DNA
If you want to see how important the technology community is to us, you can see the presentation from Virtualization Field Day 3 about how my blogging career began. It’s been an honor and a pleasure to share the journey which led to our beginning here at GTM Delta.
Being among folks who’ve led the industry in blogging would become a pivotal opportunity. Many of our very own freelance content engineers are likely candidates for future delegates, and some are former delegates themselves already. We are thank for the opportunity to represent GTM Delta and our amazing creator and customer communities at the event.
Make sure to watch live on May 31st and June 1st. If you have any questions during the live stream event you can also post them to Twitter using hashtag #cfd17. Delegates on site are watching for comments and questions to be able to ask the presenters live in the room.
Here’s that throwback presentation that hopefully still resonates today as well as it did. Thank you to Stephen Foskett and the Tech Field Day + GestaltIT teams for letting us be a part of it.
